More Than Mere Music

If you want to show me love, then serenade! (if you can't sing or play, dedicate a song baby cause I'm listening...) Take a rich lyric in love-letter form combined with a beautiful melody is something I could eat & drink for days. It has to be one of the most powerful ways to express love. I know it's more than music though, thankfully so. I realize this gift is just one way Jesus has poured His love over His children...He always backs His love with action. His parental love lullaby rocks us in the palm of His hand...a place of peace that passes through the turbulent, storm struck seasons. His ever-present song breezes through our souls and carries us to the next level of freedom & deliverance. As His child, one who loves to soak in His song, is finding myself being okay with how I love to sing love over those I cherish. Lord, let my love be more than love songs...may it be a life of action that brings YOU pleasure.

Please keep "Color" (album 2) in your prayers as I pray & write & plan & dream....a pretty good combination for His glory to be revealed in us to move us to the next level of love & hope.

I was honored to be asked to sing in a dear friend's wedding a few short years ago. The sweet Barnett's tied the knot and I was trusted to write them a song for this holy ceremony of love & commitment. I'm so happy to add this song (their song) to the the next album.
