Story Behind the Song Part 6

Hey everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to read the blog! I sure hope you had a nice break this past labor day weekend. Labor day is so good because of the break of course and because it signals the season change that fall is just around the corner! And if you know me, you know I LOVE the season FALL.....it's just the best.

On to song #6 - "Safe in You". This was the very first song I wrote for Brad in the basement of our first home in Marietta, GA. The previous owner left an old, out-of-tune piano in the basement and I would frequently escape to play. John, (Johnson Bros. Studio), suggested to have at least one LIVE song on the album and this song was it! It was almost like returning to the basement for a few moments and experiencing the tenderness of where the song was birthed all over again. Simple and sweet for my hubby. Looking back on this song I realize how young our love was and how wonderful and steady our amazing God is and has been through out our marriage. Through the brokenness and pain, Brad and I are safe in God's love; therefore, we can be safe in one another as we allow His Spirit to establish and mold us into the couple He has joined together.
