Hosea 6
1 “Come, let us return to the LORD.
He has torn us to pieces
but he will heal us;
he has injured us
but he will bind up our wounds.
2 After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.
3 Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”
So excited to announce that last night Brad and I renewed our wedding vows!
I am so amazed by the faithfulness of our God for the work & process of restoring our marriage after a very long, painful separation. We are grateful for all the prayers, words of encouragement, cards, letters, messages, you have sent to lift us up over the last few years. We are so humbled by the love of our families, friends, church family & our pastors. God is to be praised! He deserves the glory and credit!
AND It's so neat how the Lord works!
Last year I heard about Valentine Vows through 104.7 The Fish and I thought it would be really special to do do this and have a private concert afterwards...(since I love music and yes, I'm a sucker for love!)
Well, this year WE WON! We had a blast and it was very much out of the "traditional" box but that's just like us! The ceremony was at Lake Lanier Islands Resort in the Grand Hall and it was beautiful!
The speaker spoke about how our words can bring life to the dry, dead bones of our marriage. Our words can give the bones flesh again as well as our words can give breath to the bones to live again. Little did the speaker know, but that story in Ezeikel has been one that I have held close to my heart for my marriage for a long time. It was as if God did a recap over the last few years just for me to remind me all that He has spoken to my heart. I was truly overwhelmed. His promise is SURE.
We said our vows and it really was a beautiful, holy moment. Then they gave us a private concert with Shawn MacDonald. One of the first songs he sang was the song "Rise". This song was so appropriate for us because on this restoration journey with every step forward, we are rising together out of the ashes of the past!
After the concert came the cake! Here's a photo...it was yummy too!
We are so excited about our wonderful God who loves us and carries us through the storm. We are so thankful He held us together and holds us as we allow HIm to rebuild our lives together again -- ALL FOR HIS GLORY!
Thanks for reading and be encouraged...Don't give up! Trust God and let His light lead and guide you!
I love you and and appreciate you!

"Rise"
by Shawn MacDonald
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
Sometimes my heart is on the ground
And hope is nowhere to be found
Love is a figment I once knew
And yet I hold on to what I know is true
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
Well I keep on coming to this place
That I don't know quite how to face
So I lay down my life in hopes to die
That somehow I might rise
[Chorus]
Yes I will rise
Out of these ashes rise
From this trouble I have found
And this rubble on the ground
I will rise
Cause He Who is in me
Is greater than I will ever be
And I will rise
