Here's an early Christmas gift to you, my sweet friends, family & fans!
First of all, thank you for every prayer, word of encouragement, constant support & love.
I am very blessed to be able to do what I love doing...making music...and it's such an honor to be a part of your lives.
I wanted to share this song, "Mary's Lullaby", with you because it is one of my favorites off the new Christmas album, "Sleepy Little Town", that's set to release in 8 days on 11/1/12 at the Wayfarer Music Hall.
It's one of my fav's for several reasons really. One reason is because it's the first Christmas song I had ever written. Even though I wrote it many, many years ago, it still brings back warm memories. We've used this song in a few musicals before and several of my voice students would sing it every year so, it was time to officially record it.
I feel like we were able to capture the heart behind the song in a special way. It's as if Mary were holding her new, baby boy closely to her heart, singing over Him the song of His identity & purpose.
As a mother, I feel it's part of my calling & role to speak/sing life & purpose over my very own child that I love so much. I'm sure Mary already knew that Jesus knew who He was even as an infant; however, as a mama, that didn't stop her from singing. She was just doing what a mama does best.
I love Mary's response in the following scripture:
Luke 1:46
The Message (MSG)

Please download this song as my gift to you. It's free. All I ask is that you share this with your friends & family. Let's share the good news of our God & the reason He came to us. Merry (very early) Christmas and I so much appreciate you!
I hope to see each of you at the CD release on 11/1/12!!
Love & Hugs & Many Dreams of Snowflakes for 2012,
Carrie ~
