Birds in Branches

More than anything, I want people to come to Jesus Christ and find their place in His kingdom.  To know and feel His love in a very personal way is the only way to live.  This commission-passion has and will always be at the center of my songs and with that said, it's time to reach a little deeper.  Brad and I believe that God has given us all tools to make an imprint on this earth for the gospel.  One of the tools He's given us to use is music.  We want to use the songs I write to be the key that unlocks the door to HELP in some small way someone that needs to know that there is HOPE.  

Here's the next phase in developing YesIAm: Music with a Mission 

Beginning June 2013, I will release one, original single, as part of a series, “Birds in Branches”. For the next several months, each song will be available on iTunes with the purpose to help fund & raise awareness for a specific missional project that Brad and I both believe in; therefore, we want to share it with you.  Some of these projects will be local and some will be global.  But, we need your help.  In order for this ministry-reach to be effective, we need you to share it.  It's that simple.  The more you share, the more help provided.  This is not a "grow Carrie's music fan base" campaign.  This is a very simple way to partner together and do something for someone else and the cool thing is, you can share from anywhere...your couch, your car, your bed...anywhere!

So, why “Birds in Branches”?

The image of birds in branches comes quite a few times in the Old Testament, where it symbolizes people from all nations becoming part of God’s family (see Ezekiel 17:22–24; 31:3–14; Daniel 4:9–23). Jesus was reminding his listeners that the kingdom of heaven was not just for one nation – but for the whole world. Each song released will be just one, small step in reaching someone that needs HIS love.

Here are a few items to look forward to go along with the song series “Birds in Branches”:

--With each song release, we will have a release listening party (some may be live & some may be from an ipod) at a fun venue or someone's house or back porch or you name it!  At this very informal gathering, we will share the song, recap the ministry it's helping out and eat!

--a guest blogger from the featured missional project will share on the YesIAm blog to help us know more about their ministry & ways to get involved 

--video updates & behind the scenes on the making of each song

--other local artists involvement 

--fun contests & cool give-aways

The fact is, that together, we can make a difference – one song at a time!
