"Mama, am I dreaming?"

Maisey asked me the sweetest question while buckling her car seat. She asked, "Mama, am I dreaming?". I laughed and said, "No, baby. This is really happening." Australia was a "dream" reality trip on so many levels personally & spiritually. I am overwhelmed by the faithfulness of my God & His breathtaking goodness. We just got back late last night & I couldn't wait to get my fingers to blogging!! I truly had the time of my life with my darling husband and amazing Maisey! These memories we made will forever be in my heart and uploaded to facebook via photo : ) Thanks for your sweet comments & prayers. You guys are the best!

We spent the first week in Sydney. We had so much fun making great family memories -to Luna Park to the next noodle bar - every bit was extra special. I could go on & on but you'd probably pull your hair out listening to my mush.
Our second week we spent it in Penrith, where we attended the ImagineNations Missions Conference at ImagineNations Church. Pastor Jack & Carol Hanes have such a heart for reaching the lost & bringing justice to the world. Please take some time to view the podcast of the sessions from the conference at www.imaginenationschurch.com

Also, Pastor Jack has a new book out called "One Short Hour" that will knock you out! It's available on Amazon now!

We were showered with so much love & kindness from the church. We met some incredible people who passionately love God & live to share His goodness through their everyday life & their giving. These people spend their lives for the gospel. To say the least, I came away inspired & challenged for the things of God's heart. I am overwhelmed and ready to go deeper.

So with that said, I would like to help get the word out about a very courageous girl: Jessica Ferguson.

She is from my church and will be taking her very first missions trip to Honduras in June with her uncle & aunt, pastors of Good Samaritan Baptist. We need to celebrate this with her & help her raise the funds needed to get there so she can share the gospel & feed the hungry. Jessica needs $1,400 to go (includes airfare, lodging, meals, transportation, airport & border tax). Any additional funding will help purchase food bags to be given out door to door. One $10 bag will feed 15 people. Any financial support & prayer support is very much appreciated. So proud of you Jessica!!

If you would like to help Jessica GO, please send your donations to the following address:

Thanks for taking the time to read the bloggie & I'll keep you posted on upcoming YesIAm projects as well as the new album, Color.

With much love,

Carrie

Psalm 96 - Worship & Missions

Psalm 96

Sing God a brand-new song! Earth and everyone in it, sing!
Sing to God—worship God!
Shout the news of his victory from sea to sea,
Take the news of his glory to the lost,
News of his wonders to one and all!
For God is great, and worth a thousand Hallelujahs.
His terrible beauty makes the gods look cheap;
Pagan gods are mere tatters and rags.
God made the heavens—
Royal splendor radiates from him,
A powerful beauty sets him apart.
Bravo, God, Bravo!
Everyone join in the great shout: Encore!
In awe before the beauty, in awe before the might.
Bring gifts and celebrate,
Bow before the beauty of God,
Then to your knees—everyone worship!
Get out the message—God Rules!
He put the world on a firm foundation;
He treats everyone fair and square.
Let's hear it from Sky,
With Earth joining in,
And a huge round of applause from Sea.
Let Wilderness turn cartwheels,
Animals, come dance,
Put every tree of the forest in the choir—
An extravaganza before God as he comes,
As he comes to set everything right on earth,
Set everything right, treat everyone fair.

Christmas gift

Merry Christmas from the YesIAm team!

We are so grateful for all the hard work and all the many donations that have made YesIAm an effectively working missions endeavor! To any who have given money, purchased Carrie's music, spent time in prayer, or donated any number of things including (but not limited to-) time, WE THANK YOU!

We would like to give you each a gift this Christmas and that is this:
SAVE all your unwanted gifts that you receive this year! Any thing that is given to you that you might consider tossing in the trash or taking back to the store, or even re-gifting... Hold on to it! Ugly sweaters, crazy scarves, stinky candles... Hold on to it!
GIVE all of these items to a local homeless ministry or women's shelter. What they can use, they will and what they can't, they will sell to make money for the things they need! You don't need an official YesIAm event in order to be doing local and practical missions work where you are. That ugly throw blanket with puppies on it might not fit in with your living room decor, but a homeless person would be thrilled to have it during this frigid season!
For Monroe ladies, Peace Place is a great shelter to aid. (We've worked with them before- they're legit!)
For Augusta ladies, The Bridge Ministry is a fantastic homeless church to volunteer with and to make donations to. (I know their pastors, GOOOOOD people!)

Also, don't forget that Carrie Bowen's Christmas single "More" is still available on iTunes for only $0.99! Proceeds will be sent to Pastor Biju Thampy of Vision Rescue. Vision Rescue is a non-profit, registered charity involved in feeding, providing non-formal education, medical help, skill training and other kinds of help to the addicted and abused street children in Mumbai, India. We love teaming with Pastor Biju and dream of taking a team to work side-by-side with him someday! In the meantime, even if we're sending a dollar at a time, let's do what we can with what we are given!
