What's New with YesIAm 2012?

It's no secret...YesIAm is a social justice cause where worship & missions meet.

YesIAm is for anyone wanting to do something small or big to givelove and we would love to have you a part of the team as well as hear your creative ideas on how to give love in a big or small way! If you would like to be a part of the street team, please email yesiam2010@gmail.com for more information. YesIAm has a street-team of volunteers (friends & family) who come together to help host any & all music events I'm a part of as well as special YesIAm focused/purposed events through out the year. We have a great team and there's plenty of room for more!

This cause was formed 2 years ago before the release of my first CD, Nightlight. Since music is such a vital part of who I am as a person and it's what is in my hands, I knew that I could use this gift to give back to areas of need in our world locally & globally. No matter how big or small the gift, it means something in the hands of God. It's a way to give legs to the music to make a difference.

It has always been our desire to raise our daughter, Maisey, to love God and to love people. We also strive to teach her to use whatever is in her hand to be blessing to someone else. **And her name spelled backwards is "YesIAm".....**

I would like to thank you for buying my CD's, Shirts, Merchandise...because when you buy we are able to continue to help Hand of Hope & Vision Rescue through the sales of my merchandise. Every small bit helps! When you buy or promote, you are helping raise funds and awareness for the areas of need we are passionate about....clean water for villages & human trafficking.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE & SUPPORT**

We are about to start planning our events for YesIAm for 2012 and here's a sneak peak of our first outreach this February!

SocialVibe.com

Take some time and check out SocialVibe.com.

The whole site is dedicated to generating funds for a variety of charities. The cool thing is, you PICK which cause you want funding to go to! You participate in short activities (which is generally like market research) and the companies participating donate money to whatever cause you've selected.

As you may have notice, Yes I Am has a SocialVibe widget here on the blog!!

If you haven't seen it yet, it's located on the right side of the screen just under the "Why We Do What We Do" section. The charitable foundation we've selected is Blood:Water Mission in keeping with our goal to provide as much clean water as possible to areas otherwise without it in Africa. Maybe you don't have money, maybe you don't have influence, maybe you don't have a craft, or things you can afford to give away... That's understandable. But you DO have time... Donate what you have as a method of love.

Take some time and check out SocialVibe.com.

Story Behind "Yes I Am"

"Yes I Am" ~

One day I was researching videos about giving and I came across this amazing story about a little girl named Heather Bailey. She decided to sell lemonaid to raise money to dig a well for a village with unclean water and raised $1000 to accomplish her goal! I was totally blown away with how this child would make a difference in her world at such an early age. She challenged me!

I showed this video to my daughter, Maisey, who was 2 1/2 at that time. Smitten with the fact that people had to drink dirty water, Maisey said, "I want to dig a well so people won't get sick!" (yes, my 2 1/2 year old said this!) So, we started saving money in her star-shaped piggy bank. Every penny, nickle & dime counts! Her heart for the world has expanded to helping kids in orphanages in Honduras as well as rescuing girls off the streets in India.

In honor of Maisey's heart for others, I will be giving a percentage of the monies earned from the sale of my upcoming worship CD, "Night light", to further the cause!

It doesn't take much to speak the most effective language, the language of love, that transends nations & skin color, by giving from the well God has given me.

"Night Light" will be released Sunday, June 13, 2010.
